DMCA Policy

How to submit a copyright takedown notice or counter-notification under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. §512).

We respond to properly formatted notices and may terminate repeat infringers where appropriate.

1) Designated Agent

Send DMCA notices and counter-notices to:

Email is preferred for speed. Do not send legal process to general support inboxes.

2) What to Include — Takedown Notice

Under §512(c)(3), your notice must include:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work (or representative list).
  • Identification of the material to be removed or access disabled (URL(s)).
  • Your name, address, phone, and email.
  • A statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act.
  • Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full legal name suffices for electronic).

3) Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice under §512(g). It must include:

  • Identification of what was removed and where it appeared before removal (URL).
  • Your name, address, phone, and email.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  • A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for your judicial district (or New Hampshire if outside the U.S.), and that you will accept service of process from the original notifier.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

On receiving a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material in 10–14 business days unless the original notifier informs us they filed an action seeking a court order.

4) Repeat Infringer Policy

In appropriate circumstances, ShadowForge Media may terminate users or creators who are repeat infringers. We may also remove content or suspend access to features to protect rights holders.

5) Abuse & Misrepresentation

Submitting fraudulent notices or counter-notices can lead to liability for damages (including costs and attorneys’ fees) under §512(f). Do not use the DMCA process to harass competitors or silence lawful speech.

6) Changes
